JBL’s expertise in audible art coupled with its commitment to support artists with quality sounds has led it to produce more AE Series Compact loudspeakers.

The new JBL AC16 6.5 full-range two-way loudspeaker system’s ultra-compact and unobtrusive design has a high frequency device of 1-inch exit compression driver integrated into a 90º x 90º Progressive Transition (PTÔ) waveguide that provides even coverage throughout the intended listening area. It utilizes a 6.5 inches Symmetrical Field Geometry (SFGÔ) LF Transducer with a copper-clad aluminum edge wound 2” voice coil, and a copper-capped pole piece that enhances performance by reducing voice coil inductance and distortion.

Besides, it boasts of a frequency range of (-10 dB) 55 Hz -20 kHz, and a frequency response of (±3 dB) 65 Hz -18 kHz. Weighing 7.2 kg (15.8 lb), and with a dimension of  381.0 x 199.4 x 226.1mm (H x W x D), the AC16 6.5 two-way loudspeaker is perfect for installation under balconies, on columns, and for wall mounting, even as it consistently provides you with a maximum bandwidth and SPL in just a single system package.

Its multi-ply hardwood enclosure, which  bears the distinctive signature of JBL’s DuraFlexÔ finish and comes with a powder coated steel, foam-backed grille, is specifically drafted to work in both vertical and horizontal planes. It is also equipped with attachment points located at the bottom of the enclosure for a stand-mount accessory.  Likewise, mounting points are provided for an optional U-bracket and for an OmniMount^® type bracket.
