The JBL Pro VRX918SP 18" High Power Powered Flying Subwoofer has a built-in JBL Drivepack^® DPC-2 amplifier module designed by Crown that provides 1500 watts of peak power. The DSP based resident input module provides system optimization, EQ and crossover functionality.

Specifically designed for use in arrays with VRX932LAP line array speaker and VRX-AF array frame, the VRX918SP is a suspendible subwoofer system that contains a 2268FF dual voice coil neodymium magnet, patented Differential Drive^® 18-inch woofer for high-power capacity in a front-loaded, vented enclosure. It may also be used in arrays consisting entirely of VRX918SP subwoofers.

In addition, the flying subwoofer has an integral rigging hardware for simple connection of enclosures and optional array frame, a 20mm threaded pole socket for solid, secure satellite speaker mounting, and a large port area for reduced distortion. It is also light weight at 38.5 kilograms (85 lb).
